Focus

Focussing video cameras underwater.

Mechanical control much easier to use than electronic

Auto-focus versus manual

Focus depends on lens type

Hunting, especiallly in lower visibility

Auto focus - keep lens absolutely spotless, especially wide angle/dome

You should always keep ports and fliters clean and scratch-free but this is absolutely vital for auto-focus

Automatic focus for macro

Manual focus

Momentary white balance then leave (e.g. 0.3m on Z1)

Repeat momentary auto as necessary

Can check focus with largest iris for shallow depth of field, then reset

Amphibico monitor has

Peaking (but Z1 can only have zebra or peaking)

Set peaking to red

Research and mention hyperfocal blah. i.e. everything in focus
